Boundary
When it comes to gaining insights from players in a virtual space, understanding how they interact with the Boundary (sometimes known as Guardian) system is essential. The Boundary is a virtual border that is customized by the participant to indicate their safe usage area within a virtual space, allowing them to move freely in the virtual world without fear of colliding with anything outside of it. The HMDs will also alert you in various ways when you are about to cross that Boundary.
Our SDK collects Boundary data during runtime to provide you with the insights on the dashboard.
Boundary Recorder
As of our SDK for Unreal version 1.11.0, our SDK now will read and record the participant's HMD's Boundary in a new Boundary Data Stream. This allows us to display the participants's Boundary accurately in Scene Explorer. The Boundary is updated as the participant moves around the virtual experience and changes their tracking origin. Whenever the participant changes their boundaries during their session, the new one is recorded and represented as well.
