Metrics glossary
The Power BI Organizational Dashboard surfaces several composite metrics derived from Cognitive3D session data. This page defines each metric the dashboard displays, what it indicates, and where it appears.
For metrics that exist in the underlying dataset but are not visualized in the default dashboard, see Cognitive3D web dashboard documentation, which covers the broader Cognitive3D metric system.
Cyberwellness Score
A composite score combining visual continuity and translational movement metrics to estimate overall susceptibility to cyber sickness. See Cyberwellness Score on the Cognitive3D web dashboard for the corresponding widget.
Visualized on the Performance and Health page as Avg Cyberwellness Score and in the Cyberwellness Score vs Session Time scatter chart.
Time above 72Hz %
The percentage of session time during which the application maintained at least 72Hz frame rate. 72Hz is the minimum target frame rate for most major VR platforms — sustained drops below this threshold can cause participant discomfort.
For the broader Cognitive3D performance metric system, see App Performance Standards and FPS Performance.
Visualized on the Performance and Health page as Avg Session Time Above 72Hz % and in the Session Time Above 72Hz line chart.
Data Completeness
The percentage of sessions in which each expected Cognitive3D data stream — gaze, events, dynamic objects, sensors, and boundary information — was successfully captured. Used as an overall implementation health indicator. Sessions missing one or more expected streams may reflect SDK configuration issues or hardware that does not support a particular stream.
Visualized on the Performance and Health page as Data Completeness %.
Sessions Above 2 Minutes %
The percentage of sessions that exceeded 2 minutes in duration. Sessions shorter than this threshold are often incomplete or accidental — for example, a participant launching an experience and exiting before the session begins in earnest.
Visualized on the Performance and Health page as Sessions Above 2 Min %.
Overall Completion Rate
The proportion of sessions or objective attempts that ended in success, expressed as a percentage. The denominator depends on the page where it is displayed.
- On the Overview page, it reflects sessions that completed all assigned objectives.
- On the Objectives and Survey page, it reflects objective attempts that ended in success.
- On the Objective Detail drillthrough, it reflects attempts at the single objective selected for drillthrough.
Return Rate %
The percentage of unique participants who recorded more than one session in the selected time range. Indicates how many participants return after their first exposure to an experience.
Visualized on the Users page as Return Rate %.
